Following the 2024-exclusive Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, the GMC brand's all-electric Sierra has entered the 2025 model year. In addition to discontinuing the debut edition, GMC has also made its entry-level electric truck more slightly affordable with the introduction of the Extended Range option.
Option may not be the right word, though, for Extended Range stands for the standard-issue battery pack. It joins the Max Range of the 2024 model, which carries over. As per the build & price tool, the Denali comes in at either $91,995 or $100,495 sans destination.

By comparison, the debut grade used to retail at 97,500 buckaroos. It came with a GM-estimated 440 miles of range, meaning 708 kilometers in metric talk. The 2025 models, on the other hand, are rated at 390 and 460 miles, respectively, or 628 and 740 kilometers.

According to the fine print, only the 390-mile rating is an EPA estimate. The 460-mile rating offered by the larger battery pack has yet to be confirmed by the agency established by the Richard Nixon administration back in 1970. The GMC brand curiously does not mention the net capacity in kilowatt hours on its configurator, but we do have guesstimates of 170 and 205 kilowatt hours, respectively.

Both Sierra EV Denali Extended Range and its long-range sib come in six paint colors for 2025, of which Summit White adds zero dollars to the final price. Speaking of which, the destination freight charge is 2,095 freedom eagles. When it comes to extra-cost paint choices, the list kicks off with Deep Ocean Metallic, Onyx Black, and Thunderstorm Gray. Said colors retail at 495 bucks, while Dark Ember Tintcoat costs 645 dollars.

$3,995 gets you Moonlight Matte, a darkish blue with a matte finish that gives the Sierra EV Denali a more sophisticated appearance. 24-inch wheels are standard, featuring a six-spoke design, a machined finish, and – of course – Denali etching. As far as the cabin is concerned, Sierra EV Denali flaunts After Dark (also known as good ol' black) faux leather. GMC refers to it as premium leather alternative seating surfaces.

Optional equipment? $599 is the asking price of the PowerUp Level 2 charger, whereas $1,299 gets you the PowerUp+ Level 2 charger. The GM Energy PowerShift charger is even pricier at $1,699 as of this writing. The PowerUp handles up to 11.5 kilowatts / 48 amps, while PowerUp+ and PowerShift are rated for up to 19.2 kilowatts / 80 amperes.

$800 gets you a soft rolling bed cover, whereas the Cargo Management System Rails can be had for a cool 925 dollars. A Napier-supplied rooftop tent is available for $1,999. It goes without mention that you need a bed rack in order to install said tent over the bed area.

Sometime in the first half of 2025, the Sierra EV Denali will be joined by two lesser trims in the form of the AT4 and Elevation. Pricing for those will be announced closer to their on-sale date.
