The good folks over at GM Authority have noticed the work of Cole Attisha, who imagined the unofficial, hypothetical looks of a practical, sporty, and elegant estate model for the Blackwing high-performance series.
A lot of things center on and around General Motors – for example, the rumor mill wants to find out when Chevrolet is going to start accepting orders for the mind-bending 1,064-horsepower twin-turbo V8-powered 2025 Corvette ZR1, and according to various sources, the speed festival will kick off in February 2025. Also, has anyone seen that social media superstar Jake Paul made quite the entrance for his highly anticipated boxing match against the iconic Mike Tyson by landing next to the stage in a bespoke, wild Chevy Silverado dually pickup truck?

Back to more serious matters, General Motors has recently implemented a frightening cost-cutting measure by laying off around 1k of its employees worldwide. Most of them were salaried workers in America, with the majority of the lay-offs at the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. That's just the latest round of job cuts, most of them affecting the research and development units around the world – including America, China, and other international venues.

Additionally, the rumor mill says that GM might consider the all-electric Cadillac Optiq, Lyriq, and Vistiq as direct replacements for the XT crossovers – so one day, we'll get to see that not only the XT4 but also the XT5 and XT6 will be terminated without prior notice. In this context, maybe Cadillac will continue to develop its passenger car lineup as a counterpart to a possible EV-only crossover SUV range?

Well, the good folks over at GMAuthority certainly hope that Cadillac won't give up on the CT4 and CT5 series along with their sporty V-Series models and the high-performance Blackwing options because they just brought to our attention a rendering depicting a model that could truly enhance the passenger car lineup with a vehicle that's both practical and sporty, as well as elegant and spacious: an unofficial, hypothetical Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing station wagon!

This estate model has the new looks of the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 – which kicks off at $47,595 – the beating heart of the V-Series Blackwing model – a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 mill packing no less than 668 hp (498 kW or 677 ps) and 659 lb-ft (893 Nm) of neck-snapping torque – as well as the spacious trunk of a mid-size station wagon.

The combination is obviously quite eclectic, but it's not something that is all that out of the ordinary. After all, Audi already sells the RS 6 Avant packing up to 621 horsepower from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mill, and BMW is preparing to up the stakes with the M5 Touring and its PHEV setup that's good for a combined 731 horsepower – albeit at the expense of a significant increase in weight.
