General Motors had stopped production of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 because they discovered a software error that they didn’t want to simply ignore since this is now halo for the brand.
Now, Motor Authority reports production has officially resumed, according to an email sent to them. The statement said customers who’s ZL1 delivery had been put on hold will get their Chevy within two or three weeks. All cars that have already been built and delivered should get a software update.
In case you forgot this, the Camaro ZL1 was honed on the Nurburgring and even managed to set a blistering speed on the track. We’re talking about a record 7 minutes and 41.27 seconds, which puts it way up there with the big boys. A quick check will show this puts the ZL1 on par with the current 911 Carrera S, which has 400 horsepower.
