Ferrari introduced the limited-edition F80 model a month after the Paris Motor Show in 2024 for the 2025 model year, and all 799 units were sold before the supercar's wraps came off.

The Italian automaker was known for creating astonishing, super-fast vehicles in its history. Some of them were made to celebrate the brand's history. Models such as the F40 and the F50 were unveiled for the 40th and the 50th anniversary of the car manufacturer from Maranello, respectively. Continuing that tradition, Ferrari launched the F80 to celebrate its 80th birthday. It was the most powerful production vehicle that wore the prancing horse logo on its nose, and it was built in 799 units, and all units were sold before the supercar's unveiling in mid-October 2024. Ferrari installed many underpinnings from the brand's 24 Hours of LeMans race car, the 499P, which won that famous race twice.

Ferrari made the car as aerodynamic and efficient as it could possibly be. It created a very aggressive front fascia that sported a shiny black trim between the narrow LED headlights. In the lower area, the automaker installed a bumper with an integrated apron featuring a split center air intake flanked by a pair of grilles adorned by meshes with a hexagonal pattern. In addition, at the bottom of the air dam, the 2025 Ferrari F80 had carbon-fiber lip spoilers that improved downforce.

From its profile, the panoramic windshield resembled the one installed in the famous Ferrari F50 from three decades before the 2025 Ferrari F80. The low-slung greenhouse had carbon fiber A-pillars and was continued at the back by a sloped engine cover featuring three pairs of horizontal slats, which hinted at the number of cylinders placed underneath it. Another Easter Egg was for the longitudinal slats, which were eight. One for each decade of the brand's existence. The massive wing placed behind the engine compartment could be deployed to increase downforce. Ferrari said that at 250 kph (155 mph), the entire aerodynamic package led to an overall air pressure of 1,000 kg (2,206 lbs).

Inside, the cabin of the 2025 Ferrari F80 shook everyone. While the driver's sports seat was adjustable, the one for the passenger was fixed. Furthermore, the driving post was pushed towards the center of the vehicle. The squarish two-spoke steering wheel featured several buttons for various functions, including the turn signals, the wipers, the ones for phone connectivity, and the famous "Manettino" switch that altered driving modes. It framed a digital dashboard that showed every piece of information needed by the driver, whether it was the playlist from the infotainment system, the navigation, or the engine's status. The center stack was surrounded on its right side by a carbon fiber panel, clearly delimiting the driving post from the side passenger. It housed the buttons for the transmission, arranged in a layout that resembled the gated shift pattern from old Ferrari models.

However, the most significant part of the 2025 Ferrari F80 was under its skin. The Italian automaker took the twin-turbocharged three-liter engine developed from the 499P race car and improved it. As a result, the V6 powerhouse (hence the number of horizontal slats on the engine's cover) produced 900 PS (888 hp). Furthermore, the two electric motors from the front axles added 300 more ponies (296 hp) to the drivetrain, resulting in a staggering total output of 1,200 PS (1,184 hp). Moreover, to cancel the lag of the two turbochargers, Ferrari used electric motors to spin them so they could be ready at any press of the skinny pedal. To keep the car on the road and make it comfortable, the automaker added electronically controlled suspension and even a variable ground clearance that helped customers easily pass over speed bumps. Thanks to the unique engineering applied to the car, the 2025 Ferrari F80 could rocket from naught to 124 mph (0-200 kph) in a mere 5.75 seconds on its way to a capped top speed of 350 kph (217 mph).
