Formula 1 heads to Sin City for Saturday night's Las Vegas Grand Prix held around the streets of this epicentre for gambling, partying, and sport.
With F1 continuing to make great strides in trying to increase its popularity in the United States, the ten teams are keen to promote their sponsors and bring something special to a unique event.

In 2023, six teams brought a special livery to Las Vegas, although in 2024 it'll be down to three due to the weight concerns a colourful design brings to an F1 car.

But which teams are bringing something unique to Las Vegas?

Despite a bruising 2024 season on and off the track, Alpine has not avoided adding colour to the grid.

After starting the season with a carbon-fibre-based livery, the team has introduced two special looks. First, a red livery promoting the release of Deadpool and Wolverine at the Belgian GP and an Indiana Jones and the Great Circle orange look for the United States GP.

For the final three races of 2024, Alpine will use a pink-based design in collaboration with BWT, the team's title sponsor.

Since BWT started sponsoring Alpine in 2022, the team has run pink designs in the season's opening night races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Alpine came into Las Vegas fresh from their double podium finish in Brazil. The Haas-bound Esteban Ocon briefly led on course to finishing second ahead of his teammate Pierre Gasly. The result helped the Anglo-French team leap from ninth in the Constructors Championship to sixth ahead of Haas and RB.

With American-based title sponsors VISA and Cash App, every race weekend in the US adds extra pressure on RB to perform.

Las Vegas is the biggest stage of them all, and with five points separating them, Haas and Alpine will be in their battle for sixth in the Constructors Championship this weekend, which will be season-defining.

RB also has a new look for Las Vegas, which shares similarities with Sauber's livery used between 1996 and 2005. Officially, it is a glitter-inspired design created to celebrate the launch of Cash App's Glitter Card.

Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson will wear bespoke race overalls and team gear, and fans will see the livery before it hits the track and during the weekend at Topgolf Las Vegas.

Do cars with flames go faster? Sauber plans to find out

Sauber has had a season to forget in 2024, with the team's C44 comfortably the slowest car on the grid and the only one yet to score a point.

In the fortnight between Brazil and Las Vegas, the team's current drivers, Finland's Valtteri Bottas and China's Zhou Guanyu, found out they would be unemployed at season's end following the signing of Gabriel Bortoleto.

Bortoleto, who currently leads the Formula 2 championship by four and a half points from Red Bull junior Isack Hadjar, has become Brazil's first full-time F1 driver since Felipe Massa in 2017. He will partner with Nico Hulkenberg for 2025 as the team transitions from Sauber to Audi in 2026.

But while the future looks bright, there are still three races left, and for Las Vegas, Sauber has introduced a revised design complete with flames, giving off hot rod vibes.

Fans of the British Touring Car Championship fans will also feel nostalgic looking at Sauber, as British manufacturer MG used a flame-inspired green livery for the 2002 season. However, it remains to be seen whether it'll give the Swiss team the speed it needs to break into the points-paying positions for the first time in 2024.
