Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

In 2011, the South Korean motorcycle maker introduced the Hyosung ST7, the brand's interpretation of a chopper, which was presented at the 2010 Intermot. It was first presented as a power cruiser concept designed by DSK International School of Design (ISD) with the style borrowed from the Ducati Diavel.

The cruiser's appearance was characterized by a round headlight up front, a pulled-back handlebar, a teardrop-shaped tank, a two-piece dual seat, side-mounted rear shocks, a dual exhaust system with slash-cut chromed mufflers, and 13-spoke alloy wheels.

The motorcycle was manufactured around a steel double pipe frame with a 41 mm conventional fork on the front and dual side-mounted adjustable shock absorbers on the rear, acting as a suspension system.

The braking power was achieved by two 300 mm rotors mounted on the 16-inch front wheel and a 230 mm brake disc mounted on the 15-inch rear wheel, providing excellent stopping power.

Regarding power, the 2011 Hyosung ST7 had installed a 647cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 63 hp at 8,250 rpm and 58 Nm (43 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
