history
Kanuni is a Turkish motorcycle manufacturer which was founded in 1950. The company bought the MZ distributor in 1987, a move which was then considered the first step in building a powerful Turkish manufacturer that would be able to compete with the other motorcycle companies, including the ones located inside and outside the Europe.
Since 1995, the company started manufacturing and exporting motorcycles, scooters and ATVs under the Kanuni brand, being headquartered in Istanbul. At this time, the company has no less than 500 employees, the main office being able to develop approximately 1000 motorcycles per day.
Getting back to the vehicles manufactured by the Turkish company, it has produced a wide range of bikes, including motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and minibikes. All of these vehicles were equipped with many advanced features, no matter if we're talking about the engines or about the other parts installed on them.
The Tiger 250 Polis is a Kanuni motorcycle which was especially designed to be used by the local police. It was equipped with a single cylinder, 4-stroke engine which could produce 20 horsepower at 8000rpm and a torque of 18Nm at 5500rpm. Moreover, it comes with disc front brakes and with drum rear brakes, being based on a telescopic front suspension system.
Talking about the company's ATVs, the Turkish manufacturer managed to build some pretty nice vehicles in this category.
For instance, the ATV 300 is an ATV available in three colors, black, blue and red which was equipped with a single cylinder engine which could produce 20 horsepower at 7500rpm. In addition, the air cooled engine is also able to produce a maximum torque of 20Nm at 6500rpm.
