history
Verucci is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer which is also one of the most popular companies producing sportswear and apparel for motorcycle fans. Although the company became famous for this type of equipment, it also managed to create a few notable motorcycles, most of them equipped with small displacement engines. The majority of vehicles have been built since 2004 so it's obvious that the company is quite a new presence on the motorcycle manufacturing market.
Talking about the vehicles it created, Verucci was mostly interested in scooters. The Verucci VC50FS-10A for example, is a scooter manufactured in 2005 which came with a single cylinder, 4 stroke engine providing a displacement of 49.5 cmc. This engine is able to produce 2.4 horsepower at 7000 rpm and a torque of 2 Nm at 6500 rpm.
However, the Verucci VC250 Phatom, a scooter which looks similar to a cruiser bike, comes with a V-twin engine with an air cooled system which provides a displacement of 248 cmc.
Moreover, this engine produces 16 horsepower at 8000 rpm and a torque of 17Nm at 6000rpm. What's interesting is that Verucci equipped the majority of its vehicles with disc front brakes and with drum rear brakes as well as with chain final drives.
At this time, Verucci has no less than 3 factories in different countries around the globe, all of them set up as joint ventures between the Italian company and other local manufacturers.
A notable aspect about the company is that Verucci describes itself as a motorcycle manufacturer which continuously works with its customers in order to develop new projects or improve the existing ones in order to match their requirements.
However, until now, the company has only released a small number of motorcycles so new releases are expected anytime soon.
