Where there's a will there's a way, but being a billionaire with a gazillion followers on social media and the kind of following rock stars would kill for can't hurt. Kim Kardashian, reality star sensation turned budding actress, is probably using all the tricks in the book to sidestep her Ferrari ban.
You could probably call this a tale as old as time, though it doesn't go farther back than a decade or so. In showbiz, though, time is measured in seconds instead of hours or days, which explains the popularity, endurance, and ultimately the appeal of this urban legend: Ferrari once put Kim Kardashian's name on its famous – though never publicly confirmed – blacklist.

She's found a way to sidestep the reported ban, though, so she can still enjoy the occasional Ferrari drive, as short as it might be. Kim is now shooting scenes for a new Ryan Murphy-produced legal series called All's Fair, where she's playing a lawyer, and she's been seen at the wheel of a white Ferrari 458 Spider.

The video included below shows Kim in full character, driving herself on location. This is the first time in nearly 12 years that she's been seen at the wheel of a Ferrari, which is noteworthy in itself – and is often cited as "confirmation" of the supposed ban she got from Ferrari bosses.

Since we're on the topic of the ban, it plays into an even older report about how the marque selects customers and will turn down even some of the most famous and rich customers for the most ridiculous "offenses."

In Kim's case, it boiled down to her receiving a white Ferrari 458 Italia as a wedding gift from a well-known Malaysian fraudster. She was eventually questioned by authorities in relation to the freebie and was never seen driving it again, which is probably when Ferrari decided that the association between the brand name and the fraudster wasn't one that should be in any way encouraged.

Kim got caught in the middle and reportedly took the brunt of the fury of the automaker.

The original report claimed that Ferrari banned Kim from buying a limited-edition Ferrari, which is actually a thing that Ferrari does do. Almost anyone can buy a series production car if they have the money, but limited-edition units only go to loyal customers who check all the right boxes.

Even if that was the case, Kim was never again seen at the wheel of a Ferrari, and that became noticeable as her car collection grew in size and price. Today, Kim's garage is a truly eye-catching collection of customized Rolls-Royces, Cadillacs, Lamborghinis, Maybachs, and Bentleys, but there isn't a single Prancing Horse pony in there.

Whatever drama went down behind the scenes between these two, Kim has clearly found a way to work her way around it, even if only for a day, while playing a character. Obviously, nothing says successful attorney than power dressing and color-matching with your Ferrari.
