What you’re looking at here are two fully bespoke Jeep Wranglers, enhanced by Italian tuner Stradale Modena to look like the ultimate luxury SUVs. They’re called the Stradale GT and the GTX, and they’re both on display at this year’s SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Basically, what Stradale Modena did was taking the Wrangler and creating what they believe is an “Italian timeless machine”, featuring enhanced aerodynamics and driving characteristics, not to mention the ability for customers to choose an optional V8 engine – it's a HEMI but it’s not supercharged, unfortunately.
There aren’t that many differences between the GT and the GTX spec. Basically, the GTX (the green and black one) is a little more off-road oriented, boasting better ground clearance and rugged tires, whereas the GT (yellow and black) should be better on smooth tarmac.
Now, before we go any further, if you’d like me to point out that like you, I’ve never even heard of Stradale Modena, well, I won’t. It would be unprofessional. It’s my job to know these things. That being said, I’ve never heard of them, but maybe we should all take notice, because while these custom Wranglers do look as though they’re “trying too hard”, the quality of the work seems top notch. I respect that.
According to their website, the Italian tuner has offices in Modena, but also Orlando, Florida and in Dubai, because of course they’ve got to be in Dubai. One would imagine that’s where most of their buyers hail from – or rather that’s where they live.
Look, this is such a weird mix. I mean, a Wrangler and top-notch Italian craftsmanship? All that fine Nappa leather and gorgeous stitching, in vehicles that nowadays are aimed at SoCal people who like surfing and frequently use the term “dude”. What a combo. I mean, they’ve even managed to do away with all that cheap plastic one will find inside any Wrangler.
You can then choose between one of five engine options, with a 270 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo being standard on both trucks. You can also opt for a 370 horsepower 2.0L turbo ($9,500), a 3.6L V6 with 285 horsepower ($2,000), a 2.0L turbo with 400 horsepower ($18,000), and the big prize, a 392 ci (6.4L) HEMI V8 with 470 horsepower. The latter will cost you an extra $42,000, on top of what you’ve already spent on the truck.
You know what? Scratch that. These things are ridiculously expensive. If you want the GTX with the HEMI V8, it’ll run you $171,000. That’s slightly more than a brand-new 2025 G 550. On the other hand, if you compare the Stradale GT or the GTX with any Brabus-tuned G-Wagen, you’ll quickly realize the latter is on a completely different level. Those Brabus 900 G 63 trucks usually cost half a million dollars, so forget about it.

I’m scared to ask, but how much are these things?
Don’t be scared. They’re expensive but they’re not crazy expensive, if that makes sense. The Stradale Modena GT is priced from $124,000, while the GTX costs north of $129,000.You can then choose between one of five engine options, with a 270 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo being standard on both trucks.
