KYMCO People GT 300i (2013-2014) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Taiwan-based motorcycle manufacturer released the 2013 Kymco People GT 300i, a scooter in its second production year. It offered smooth power delivery thanks to its fuel-injected engine and was perfect for city riding but also for longer hauls.

The 2013 model year was in the same shape and form as the previous one, delivering the same performance, visual, and technical specifications without any significant changes whatsoever.

Kymco was a Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1964. Initially, they produced parts for Honda and built its first complete scooter in 1970. After many years, in 1992, the company began selling motorcycles under the Kymco designation, an acronym for Kwang Yang Motor Co.

The company is headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and with 3000 employees, it makes over 570,000 vehicles every year. In addition to the Kaohsiung plant, the company has production facilities in Indonesia, the Philippines, PR China, and Malaysia.

Standard features included a handlebar-mounted cowl with a single headlight and a small wind deflector, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab rails, a large top box, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, a center stand, and 10-spoke blacked-out aluminum wheels.

At the 2013 Kymco People GT 300i's core was a 298cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine managed by a fuel injection system. The engine was assisted by a CVT gearbox with a final belt drive.
