Lamborghini celebrated the opening of its redesigned San Francisco showroom by featuring a full hybrid line-up. On deck were the new twin-turbo Temerario, the V12 plug-in hybrid Revuelto, and the Urus SE. The Italian carmaker is riding high after bringing in record-braking sales during the first half of this year.
Those of you who live nearby can visit Lamborghini San Francisco by dropping a pin at 620 Du Bois St, San Rafael, CA 94901.
The building itself now comes with a new corporate design aesthetic and state-of-the-art tech, and you can also find fashion offerings courtesy of Collezione and Accessori Originali, not to mention the Ad Personam customization room, which is where wealthy people go to personalize their dream cars. You get so many color and materials options, it’s not difficult to end up with a truly bespoke configuration.
Those in attendance during the grand opening got to witness the brand’s full hybrid line-up in person, which hasn’t been displayed together in California since the Temerario’s global debut on August 16 during Monterey Car Week.
To recap, the Temerario is Lamborghini’s latest product, and the direct successor to the Huracan. It puts down over 900 horsepower and can get you from zero to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 2.7 seconds.
Then there’s the Revuelto, the company’s first ever so-called HPEV, or High Performance Electrified Vehicle. Its 6.5-liter V12 power unit works alongside three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, producing more than 1,000 horsepower. Last but not least, the 789 horsepower Urus SE, which is also a hybrid.
“California continues to be the best performing market in the United States with 25% of total sales in the first half of 2024,” said company exec Andrea Baldi.
“As we complete the third step in our Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy, California is primed for a successful second half of the year and beyond with the introduction of our full hybrid lineup, including the temerario, Revuelto and Urus SE Super SUV. With the new electrified models and the latest corporate design and technology updates, Lamborghini San Francisco is better positioned to serve its loyal clientele by providing a further elevated brand experience.”
Lamborghini delivered no fewer than 5,558 cars globally in the first six months of 2024, marking a 4.1% increase over the previous year. The United States accounted for 1,637 units, representing the number one market for the brand. Frankly, it’s astonishing how low of a number 1,637 is, given how pretty much every halfway decent car vlogger seems to own a Lamborghini nowadays.
As for Lamborghini San Francisco, we’re pretty sure they will continue to do a lot of business in the region, seeing as how the Bay area is home to some of the wealthiest people on Earth.
