LAVERDA 750 Carenata (1998-1999) Specs, Performance & Photos

One of many motorcycles in Laverda's range was the Laverda 750 Carenata, a fully faired version of the 750S model with an aluminum frame. The bike was available in red or yellow color schemes.

Laverda, also known as Moto Laverda SAS – Dottore Francesco Laverda e fratelli, was an Italian high-performance motorcycle manufacturer known for its robust and innovative machines.

Laverda's roots go back to 1873 when the founder Pietro Laverda decided to start an agricultural engines enterprise called Laverda S.p.A. It was located in the small village of Breganze in Vicenza province, North-East of Italy.

The bike was dressed in a full fairing with a small windscreen and packed standard features like a single seat with a passenger rear seat cover, a passenger grab handle, a two-into-two exhaust system with an up-swept silencer on each side, and three-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.

The aluminum frame was suspended on a Paioli Racing inverted fork on the front with preload, rebound, and compression adjustability and a Paioli monoshock with spring preload, rebound, and compression adjustability.

Two 320 mm brake discs on the front clamped by four-piston calipers and a 245 mm rotor on the rear assisted by a dual-piston caliper achieved the braking power.

The 1998 Laverda 750 Carenata had installed a 747cc four-stroke liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine underneath its clothes, delivering 85 hp at 9,200 rpm and 75 Nm (55 lb-ft) torque at 7,200 rpm.
