In 2006, the Chinese maker introduced the Lifan LF 125-30, a sports motorcycle powered by a small displacement engine. It was wrapped in a full fairing, with parts of the engine left in plain sight.

Aesthetically, the motorcycle was characterized by standard features such as a full fairing, a dual-headlight system, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat, a luggage rack with integrated pillion grab rails, a single exhaust system, and three-spoke aluminum wheels finished in blue.

Lifan is a Chinese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer headquartered in Chongqing, China. The Company was founded in 1992 and started manufacturing automobiles in 2005. The range includes passenger cars, microvans, dirt bike engines, entry-level motorcycles, mini-vehicles, and commercial trucks.

A hydraulic telescopic fork on the front end and a single shock absorber on the rear set its riding characteristics. For safety reasons, the motorcycle's wheels were fitted with a single brake disc on the front and a drum braking unit on the rear.

As for the power figures, the 2006 Lifan LF 125-30 had its soul brought to life by a 124cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine, boasting 15 hp with maximum strength at 7,500 rpm and 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.

For the bike to move forward, the engineers fitted it with a five-speed manual transmission, a dry plate clutch, and a final chain drive linked to the rear wheel.
