MAICO Supermoto 320 (2003-2007) Specs, Performance & Photos

The German motorcycle manufacturer introduced the 2003 Maico Supermoto 320, an enduro/off-road motorcycle produced until 2007. The bike was powered by a 318cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The 2003 Maico Supermoto 320 had installed a 318cc two-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine underneath its fuel tank. It was managed by a carburetor and delivered 57 hp.

The motorcycle's visual department was complemented by features like a small headlight integrated into a tiny cowl, a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, a single exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the left-hand side, a dual-sided swingarm, and wire-spoke wheels.

Maico is a German motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1926. Although the company had built multiple light bikes before World War II, it introduced its first bike, equipped with a Maico engine, just after the end of the war. This model recorded an impressive success, which led the company to release the M model in 1948 and the 125 a year later.

After experiencing many financial problems in 1983, Maicowerk AG continued to manufacture only a small number of motocross and enduro motorcycles, mostly known in the USA under the M-Stars name.

The suspension was handled by a 48 mm WP telescopic fork on the front with 305 mm travel and a Maico twin link Reiger shock on the rear with 320 mm travel.

As for the stopping power, a 260 mm brake rotor with a dual-piston caliper on the front and a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear did the job.
