MASH 400 TT40 Cafe Racer (2017-2018) Specs, Performance & Photos

One motorcycle in Mash's range was the 2017 Mash 400 TT40 Cafer Racer, a motorcycle inspired by the British ones that never actually came out of British factories.

Mash is a scooter and motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2014 in France. The main base is located in Bonn, Burgundy. Mash is the property of SIMA (Societe d'Importation de Motos et Accessories), founded in 1976 by Marcel Seurat and his spouse Jeanine.

Mash paid great attention to details on their motorcycles, retaining the British retro style of the 70s. All motorcycles meet the requirements of the European Union with EURO4 standards. Since 2017, when EURO4 standards were stricter, motorcycles have been fitted with a fuel injection system and ABS.

The 2017 Mash 400 TT40 Cafe Racer had installed a 397cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine underneath its fuel tank. The engine boasted 28 hp at 7,000 rpm and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine's power was sent to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox and a final chain drive.

The bike's tubular steel frame was suspended on a hydraulic telescopic fork on the front and side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear, offering great suspension. For braking power, a brake disc handled the front wheels, and a drum unit handled the rear wheel.

The motorcycle was characterized by a large front cowl with a round headlight and a curved windscreen, a one-piece, two-up seat, a dual exhaust system with a muffler on each side, and wire-spoke wheels.
