MASH Five Hundred 400 Von Dutch (2015-2016) Specs, Performance & Photos

Mash is a scooter and motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2014 in France. The main base is located in Bonn, Burgundy. Mash is the property of SIMA (Societe d'Importation de Motos et Accessories), founded in 1976 by Marcel Seurat and his spouse Jeanine.

Mash paid great attention to details on their motorcycles, retaining the British retro style of the 70s. All motorcycles meet the requirements of the European Union with EURO4 standards. Since 2017, when EURO4 standards were stricter, motorcycles have been fitted with a fuel injection system and ABS.

In 2015, the French motorcycle maker introduced the Mash Five Hundred 400 Von Dutch, a limited edition version of the original Five Hundred retro machine. The Von Dutch was fitted with a number plate on the headlight, a cross handlebar, Ariete grips, Metzeler Karoo 2 tires, a special graphic on the fuel tank, and thermal strips on the exhaust system.

Standard features included a round headlight, a brown leather one-piece dual seat, a dual exhaust system, side-mounted rear shocks, and wire-spoke wheels.

It was made around a tubular steel frame suspended on a hydraulic telescopic fork on the front end and two side-mounted shocks on the rear for suspension. The front wheel was fitted with a single disc for stopping power, while the rear wheel was equipped with a drum braking unit.

Regarding power, the 2015 Mash Five Hundred 400 Von Dutch's heartbeat was set by a 397cc four-stroke air-cooled single-cylinder engine that boasted 29 hp at 7,000 rpm and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
