MEGELLI 250R (2015-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

Magelli Motorcycles was a British motorcycle maker founded in 2004 by Barry Hall, who specialized in off-road all-terrain vehicles, mini, and pit bikes. The company sold motorcycles in 37 countries in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.

The company debuted at the 2007 EICMA exhibition in Milan and closed eight years later, in 2014. Its range comprised motorcycles with 125- and 250cc engine displacements.

In 2015, the British motorcycle maker released the Magelli 250R, a fully-fired sports motorcycle also available in a naked version, S, and a supermoto-styled road bike, M. The motorcycle was aimed at the American, Asian, and Australian markets.

Compared to the smaller 125cc version, the 250 range was powered by a larger engine with the same four-stroke single-cylinder design, weighed slightly more, and the horsepower was increased from 11 to 27 hp.

It was fitted with standard features like a full fairing, a dual headlight system, a small windscreen, a two-piece dual seat, an under-seat exhaust system, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

An inverted nitrogen fork on the front and a single shock absorber on the rear offered optimum riding experience. Braking-wise, the bike packed a disc on the front and one on the rear clamped by hydraulic calipers.

The 2015 Magelli 250R was powered by a 249cc four-stroke single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 27 hp at 9,000 rpm and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.
