MEGELLI Motard 250M (2015-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

Magelli Motorcycles was a British motorcycle maker founded in 2004 by Barry Hall, who specialized in off-road all-terrain vehicles, mini, and pit bikes. The company sold motorcycles in 37 countries in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, and North and South America.

The company debuted at the 2007 EICMA exhibition in Milan and closed eight years later, in 2014. Its range comprised motorcycles with 125- and 250cc engine displacements.

The British motorcycle maker released the 2015 Magelli Motard 250M, a road-styled motorcycle also available in S and R versions. It packed an engine designed for the American, Australian, and Asian markets.

Compared to the smaller 125cc version, the 250 range was powered by a larger engine with the same four-stroke single-cylinder design, weighed slightly more, and the horsepower was increased from 11 to 27 hp.

Except for the engine, the 250M was visually similar to the 125M version, with features like a raised front mudguard, a single headlight, a one-piece dual seat, an under-seat exhaust system, an engine spoiler, and 12-spoke alloy wheels.

The 2015 Magelli Motard 250M had installed a 249cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that boasted 27 hp with a peak at 9,000 rpm and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.

The engine had a six-speed manual gearbox controlled by a wet multi-plate clutch linked to the rear wheel via a final chain drive.
