MIDUAL Roadster 900 (2001-2002) Specs, Performance & Photos

Since he was 14, Olivier Midy has liked motorcycles a lot. If, at the beginning, he was just an old bike collector, in the end, he managed to make his own dream motorcycle come true. His company in Anjou specialized in research and development for car lights and connections, but at the same time, Olivier was trying to create a European bike.

He started developing his first bike in 1992, using a water-cooled 900cc flat twin engine that produced 90 horses. He found a partner, François Midy, and the adventure of the 900cc Roadster began. He designed the machine, developed the project, and prepared the field for the Midual Roadster. It is a long-term industrial project that still writes its pages.

In 1999, at the Paris Motor Show, Midual presented the Midual 900, a prototype boasting 90 hp. The bike was equipped with a flat-twin engine and a transverse crankshaft, like the ones in the Douglas brand. However, due to a lack of funding, the model never went into production.

The French maker released the 2001 Midual Roadster 900, a naked motorcycle powered by an 875cc V-twin engine with a fuel injection system in charge. The machine boasted 90 hp and 83 Nm (61 lb-ft) torque.

The motorcycle was visually characterized by a round headlight up front, a one-piece dual seat, a two-into-two exhaust system with a silencer on each side, and three-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.
