The small-scale living movement has grown from a passing trend into a worldwide phenomenon, with tiny house projects now booming across the globe, shifting priorities and challenging preconceptions about what a comfortable and practical living space should include. Tiny houses come in all shapes and sizes, and while the majority of them are purposefully built for full-time, long-term living, others are designed with short-term rentals in mind.
The Milo tiny home belongs to the latter category. Expertly crafted by the team at Canada-based Mint Tiny House Company, this small dwelling is touted as a perfect solution for vacation rentals or short-term stays, but with a well-planned living area, a functional kitchen, two cozy sleeping lofts, and a bathroom equipped with everything you need, this model is capable of meeting the demands of full-time living and could perfectly be adapted for use as a permanent residence.

This home on wheels is designed with a focus on comfort and practicality and offers folks who want to adopt a simpler way of life a real opportunity to embrace minimalist, efficient living. At just 26 feet long, it perfectly embodies the idea of small living, and because it is constructed on a double-axle trailer, it is easily transportable, allowing you to change scenery whenever you want.

Typically, the smaller you go when it comes to tiny homes, the more you'll struggle to fit all the amenities you want and need. However, tiny home builders know all too well that the key to living comfortably in a small space lies in smart design and they have become quite adept at making efficient use of every square inch of space.

Through the use of multifunctional furniture and creative design hacks, Mint Tiny House has managed to make the most of the available space inside the Milo and enhance the functionality of the house. This thoughtfully crafted model boasts a large studio living space downstairs and two cozy and luminous sleeping lofts. The open space floorplan ensures flexibility and can easily accommodate a couch or extra bed on the ground floor, making it suited for a variety of rental scenarios.

In terms of styling, this tiny house boasts a clean, modern aesthetic with bright white interior walls, Prada flooring, narrow exposed beams, and natural wood trims. A myriad of windows throughout ensure the interior is extremely luminous and airy, while also allowing dwellers or guests to feel connected to the outdoors.

As soon as you step inside this home, you find yourself in the living and dining room. You’ve got enough room to put a sofa or a couple of armchairs and a central table to create a serene lounging spot for relaxation, intimate conversations, and entertainment. There is even a dedicated spot on the wall to mount a TV.

For dining, you’ll find a breakfast bar close to the entrance door. It’s a small versatile space that can also function as a workspace if needed, especially since it’s strategically placed under a window that ensures excellent natural light.

Milo’s kitchen boasts a low-maintenance design and comes fully accoutered with all the essentials needed for preparing meals with ease. A big apron sink, a two-hob induction cooktop, an exhaust vent, a microwave, and a fridge make the kitchen perfectly functional.

The capacious white cabinets are beautifully complemented by light butcherblock-style veneer counters to create a modern farmhouse look, while the lack of overhead cupboards maintains a clean, uncluttered ambiance. Instead, this home has a floor-to-ceiling pantry closet with six adjustable shelving units for plenty of dry food.

The only separate space downstairs is the bathroom, which is large enough to include all the basic facilities - a fiberglass shower cabin, flush toilet, and decently-sized vanity - plus laundry connections. In line with the home's clean aesthetic, the bathroom is bathed in white.

Since this home is only 26 feet long, the designers had to get creative to squeeze inside comfortable sleeping space. They leveraged the available vertical space to build two lofts at either end of the house, creating a perfect visual balance.

The main loft, situated above the bathroom, is spacious enough to fit a king-size mattress. A protection wall with eight individual cubbies for clothes storage further enhance the practicality and appeal of the space. The secondary loft above the living room could also accommodate a double bed and comes with windows on three sides, offering almost panoramic views of the surroundings. Instead of a privacy wall, this loft has a wooden railing that ensures safety without closing off the space.

The beauty of including lofts in a tiny home design is that they can be multi-purpose spaces. If you don’t need the extra sleeping space, you can use them as storage, office space, reading nook, hobby room, or whatever you need.

The modern design entends to the exterior, as Milo boasts a sleek Whirlwind grey color scheme on the outside. The white trim around the windows and the entrance door adds a tinge of timeless elegance to the design.

The good news is that the Milo tiny home is available for sale and ready for immediate delivery, with an asking price of CAD $105,780/ USD $81,451.
