Moto Guzzi is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1921 by Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi. Although the first Moto Guzzi motorcycle was designed in 1920, the company was officially founded one year later, and its first model, Normale, entered production in 1922.

The Normale's soul was brought to life by a 500cc engine, and it quickly gained the market's attention, becoming the company's first major success.

In 1986, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer released the Moto Guzzi V65 Lario, a more powerful, maneuverable, and aggressive-looking machine that the Italian brand produced from 1984 to 1987.

The 1986 model year was the third consecutive production year. It was in the same shape and form as the previous one, with the same characteristics without any modifications.

The 1986 Moto Guzzi V65 Lario was powered by a 643cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine that generated 60 hp, peaking at 7,800 rpm, and 52 Nm (38 lb-ft) torque at 6,600 rpm.

From a top speed of 191 kph (119 mph) to a complete stop, the motorcycle was assisted by two 260 mm brake discs with two-pot calipers on the front and a 235 mm disc with a single-pot caliper on the rear.

Visually, the motorcycle had standard features, such as a rectangular-shaped headlight, a small windscreen, a two-up seat, integrated passenger grab handles in the rear side fairings, a dual exhaust system, and different 10-spoke red-finished aluminum alloy wheels.
