Alpine has gone all-in on this year's Paris Motor Show with an exciting lineup and several novelties. We recently saw the Alpenglow Hy6 with its hydrogen-infused 740 metric ponies, and now it's time for the A110 R Ultime to premiere.
Have you lost track of how many versions of the A110 exist? Well, don't worry, as the latest is also the most exciting and the priciest by far. The French auto marque mentions boosted performance and 345 European horsepower (340 hp/254 kW) at 6,000 rpm. The peak torque is 420 Nm (310 lb-ft), 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) more than the regular A110 R Turini, and it's available at 3,200 rpm.
Alpine says the new A110 R Ultime has an automated launch control function and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (0 to 62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. The model has a power-to-weight ratio of 3.2 kg/hp and benefits from a modified turbo, a new DW6 gearbox with enhanced torque capacity, and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system. The bespoke brakes with high-performance pads, new cooling ducts, and bi-material discs provide the stopping power, and it also features adjustable dampers.
Besides boosting the power and reworking the chassis, Alpine's engineers have also left their mark on the vehicle's aerodynamics and downforce. The French company says the new A110 R Ultime offers 160 kg (353 lbs) more downforce at its top speed compared to the A110 R Turini. The new model is said to be superior in every aspect at the racetrack and calls it "a genuine road-legal circuit car." The sports-oriented model rides on 18-inch forged wheels at the front and 19-inch at the rear, wrapped in Michelin PS2 Cup tires.
It's faster than the rest of the A110 family, and the new A110 R Ultime also benefits from additional customization. A two-level personalization program (Atelier and Atelier Sur-Mesure) contributes to its enhanced nature. Atelier offers 27 exterior colors and Alcantara upholstery in four hues (Red, Blue, Orange, and Gray), and the Sur-Mesure program adds more stuff, including a choice of 9 additional Alcantara colors, 10 leather hues, and special embroidery, embossing, and so on.
Alpine's A110 R Ultime, which sits under the spotlight at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, is a 'La Bleue' special that bears the signature of Atelier Sur Mesure Alpine. Are you curious how much it costs? That would be an eye-watering €330,000 (equaling $360,860), which is about as much as a brand-new Lamborghini Temerario. As for the model's starting price, it is €265,000 ($289,780). To better put that number into perspective, we will remind you that the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Jahre starts at €274,000 ($299,620) in its homeland of Germany and offers 641 hp (650 ps/478 kW). Production of the A110 R Ultime is capped as 110 units.
