In the fall of 2024, Nissan launched the third generation of its full-size SUV Armada for the North American market, and the new model continued the idea of creating body-on-frame family vehicles.

Nissan was happy when customers from the North American continent started to look more for SUVs than for sedans, station wagons, and hatchbacks. Its Armada lineup was ready to grab some customers from its competitors and keep them there, thanks to an array of attractive features. One of them was the V8 powerplant under the hood. Unfortunately, the third generation of the Armada didn't have one. However, the full-size SUV had enough to offer to its customers to make it appealing. Furthermore, it still preserved its off-road capabilities, especially for those who opted for the newly introduced Pro-4X grade.

All the previous generations of this full-size SUV had a commanding look on the road thanks to its broad front fascia, and that characteristic remained available for the 2025 Nissan Armada. It boasted a broad, reversed-trapezoidal grille covering the area between the hood and the bumper. It was flanked by vertical LED headlights featuring LED daytime running lights. On the lower side, the automaker installed a wide, narrow black trim sporting chromed accents.

From its profile, the 2025 Nissan Armada had a tall waistline and slightly enlarged front and rear fenders to cover the 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped by 275/60 All-terrain tires. A set of running boards eased ingress and egress to the vehicle since customers had to climb inside the cabin due to the generous ground clearance of up to 9.6 inches (24 cm). The automaker also installed tall side windows, almost flat, that allowed for excellent visibility. On the front fenders, the Armada sported a set of fake vents that improved the SUV's sporty look. Furthermore, the automaker even installed a roof spoiler at the back. A set of narrow LED taillights flanked the tailgate, while on the lower side, the automaker installed a seven-pin towing hook since the full-size SUV could tow up to 8,500 lbs. (3,855 kg).

While the exterior was still bold and impressive, like its predecessors, the interior provided more of everything: more space, more technology, and more comfort. The 2025 Nissan Armada had standard three-row seating. The leatherette upholstery was standard across the range, and the front seats were heated and cooled as standard. A twin 12.3-inch display sat atop the dashboard, with the one fronting the driver being used for the instrument panel, while the one placed above the center stack was a touchscreen for the infotainment system. A set of two 14.3-inch screens was available as well. Nissan installed a wide center console between the front occupants, with multiple storage areas. Furthermore, a cubby was fitted under the armrest. The automaker dropped the regular shifter and installed buttons for the gearbox. For the middle row, customers could choose between a bench seat for three adults or a pair of captain chairs with sliding and reclining functions. At the same time, in the third row, there was enough room for adults.

A twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 powered the 2025 Nissan Armada. Nissan paired it with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission (dual-clutch) that sent power to the rear for the base versions with a part-time 4x4 system available. Upper grades featured standard that system. Furthermore, the PRO-4X version had an electronic lock for the rear differential. This version of the Armada boasted a 33-degree approach angle, a 25.5-degree breakover angle, and a 24.5-degree departure angle.
