As if the GTO wasn't already a compelling model, the debut of the Judge package made it extremely desirable, not only in 1969 but also decades later. Collectors are ready to pay big bucks for an original Judge in tip-top shape, and the specimen I recently came across has all the attributes of a car whose place is in someone's collection.
The owner explained on Craigslist that they have only recently finished the mechanical restoration of this Judge.

What's even more impressive is that the vehicle spent only 10 years on the road, as the Judge has been sitting since 1979. Its current condition is fantastic, and the owner has detailed all the mechanical fixes in their post on Craigslist.

The car is fitted with the original 400ci engine rated at 366 horsepower, sporting only 100 miles since the rebuild. It's paired with a rebuilt 4-speed transmission, and the owner says that all numbers match.

The Judge package could be had as a $337 package, and the base version was the Ram Air III configuration with 366 horsepower. The Ram Air IV setup with 370 horsepower was the icing on Pontiac's cake.

It's hard to find something to hate about this Judge, and the amount of work put into returning it to its current condition is amazing. The owner says the floors and the trunk pans are spotless, and the car also comes with a new headliner, carpets, seats, and door panels. Everything is in tip-top shape, and the interior flexes the correct white parchment configuration with the hood tack and clock still in place.

The photos show the car not only in its current shape, as it's ready for the road in nearly tip-top shape, but also during the restoration. The owner says they spent 2 years and a half taking care of the mechanical side, using only OE parts and no components coming from outside the United States.

You don't have to be a diehard goat fanboy to tell this Judge is a rare museum piece, especially thanks to this meticulous restoration. Hats off to the owner for this fantastic job, and I understand the high selling expectations – though I believe the photos don't do justice, and interested buyers should see this Judge in person to appreciate the quality of the restoration.

As anyone can anticipate, this GTO Judge will sell for big bucks. The owner believes $118K is a fair price, claiming the car was valued at $125K on Hagerty. Such a Judge is rare, and the owner says the car now needs nothing, with everything in running condition, including the electricals.

The vehicle is parked in Laguna, Niguel, California, and it should be ready to drive anywhere on its wheels.
