We're nothing if not spoiled for choice in terms of options to make the daily commute greener, more fun, and more efficient, and you only need to look at the impressive number of e-bikes available even if you're on a budget. Fiido is determined to make the choice easier.
People have been riding bicycles for a very long time, but their hotter, fancier, and more indulgent cousins, the motor-assisted bikes, are newer. Still, progress in the field of e-bikes has been in leaps and bounds – and a machine like the C11 PRO from Fiido is a good example of that.

Introduced in October this year as the latest addition to the Fiido lineup, C11 PRO is actually the upgraded variant of the C11 e-bike that debuted in the spring of 2024, which, in itself, was an upgrade over the older D4S model. It's the most eloquent example of the kind of improvement an OEM can make to a product in the space of less than a year, if they're willing to listen to customer feedback.

Whereas the C11 was already a very affordable and quite elegant city e-bike, the C11 PRO is even more so, thanks to Fiido's willingness to give the people what they want, simply put. Granted, it's not as affordable as its predecessor anymore, but I reckon the improvements it brings are worth the extra buck.

Design Evaluation

"Some riders expressed a desire for a more responsive pedal sensor," Fiido said at the launch of the C11 PRO. "We listened, and Fiido C11 Pro was born."

It's difficult to discuss the C11 PRO without comparing it to its predecessor, but it's not impossible. In fact, it can be done by simply looking at the result, which is a great-looking city e-bike with impressive performance on paper, plenty of attention to quality, safety, and reliability, and a price tag that's still very appealing to regular commuters looking for a means to get by.

To be sure, the C11 PRO is tailor-made for this type of customer. It's unfussy and uncomplicated, with intuitive functionality and a nice design that makes it user-friendly even if said user has little experience with e-bikes. It's also powerful enough to handle most situations in city traffic, reliable, and with more than decent range. As long as you know who it's built for, you can tailor expectations accordingly and avoid falling into the trap of comparing it to bikes from other companies.

Like all Fiido bikes, the C11 PRO ships almost fully assembled, wrapped neatly in cardboard with a surprising small amount of plastic. All the parts and tools required for assembly are packed separately in a smaller box, which also contains a code you can scan to access online tutorials and FAQs and the owner's manual.

The C11 PRO is still a Dutch-style bike like its predecessor, which means it's only offered in one size because the step-through frame fits riders of (almost) all sizes, from 5'1" (155 cm) to 6'5" (195 cm). However, the color has changed from white with black to a deep green with brown accents. It's a beautiful combination and a beautiful green, though I have to admit it's not as striking as the matte shade on the X 2025 model that I also got the chance to review earlier this year.

Power comes now from an upgraded 250W geared brushless motor that delivers 55 Nm of torque, so it's actually more powerful than the 350W non-EU compliant version from the older model. The battery, which sits flush against the downtube and can be removed for charging, has also been upgraded, with Fiido saying it will be able to deliver 16% more range on a single charge, or about 104 km (64.6 miles), according to their tests.

The cockpit has remained unchanged, so you still get a 1.47-inch color HD display on the left-hand side, which offers quick access to PAS (pedal assist) modes (Eco, Sport, and Turbo), the lights, the horn, and the off button. Also here, you can unlock the motor to deliver more than the EU-regulated 25 kph (15.5 mph) top speed, if you ride on private property or in other countries where this restriction doesn't apply. Top assisted speed in unlocked mode is 40 kph.

The bike also comes with a USB charging port for your phone and Bluetooth connectivity so you can pair it with the Fiido app to get more detailed stats or the Fiido watch, which doubles as an entry-level fitness watch.

On the right-hand side of the handlebar, you get a Shimano 7-speed shifter and a thumb throttle that allows you to ride in moped mode for as long as you can keep the throttle pressed.

Matching the custom Velo saddle, the handles are now faux brown leather, slightly wider than the plastic non-grip version on the previous model and definitely more comfortable. The brown and green combo is very elegant and is bound to attract attention.

However, the biggest change about the C11 PRO is the Mivice torque sensor, which comes to replace the cadence sensor in the C11. Thanks to it, motor assistance is instant, which makes the bike more manageable in all traffic conditions and implies less effort on your part.

The C11 PRO tips the scales at 24.5 kg (54 lbs) and has a maximum payload of 120 kg (264.5 lbs), 25 of which you can load on the included rear rack. Brakes are hydraulic, and lights and the kickstand are offered as standard.

Real World Application

Obviously, anyone who gets a C11 PRO will be aware of what to expect in terms of improvements because Fiido makes sure of it on the official page. But even if they weren't, they'd still find this machine a very neat option for the daily commute.

The C11 PRO is stable and highly responsive but also comfortable even on rougher terrain. I still wouldn't go as far as to risk tackling a gravel road on it, but it's several times more stable and more reliable than the C11, which was exclusively for city riding.

The front fork suspension helps take the brunt of most bumps in the road, as does the saddle and the large 28-inch wheels.

Overall, all those minor tweaks and adjustments done to the design contribute to turn it into a bike that runs noiselessly and apparently with minimal effort. Whereas jumping a curb or going over a pothole on the C11 had you bracing for impact, and you'd still feel it in your wrists, butt, and teeth, the C11 PRO handles such situations much better. It's more nimble and better behaved in all situations.

The motor is not entirely silent but it's not unpleasantly loud either. You hear it kick in as you push the pedal but you don't feel it, so assistance is also smooth – in addition to being instant.

Braking is good, thanks to the two-piston hydraulic brakes imported from the previous model. The 7-speed drivetrain comes very in handy on ascents, but the C11 PRO can easily be ridden as a single-speed by simply going up and down the three modes of PAS.

According to Fiido, the C11 PRO has been tested and certified as frost and explosion-proof, so you can confidently ride it even in extreme weather. If it's worth anything, unlike what I've experienced with other bikes, the C11 PRO doesn't underperform in cold and humid weather.

Fiido also promises more than 100 km of range on a single charge, and safe to say that they're not exactly fibbing. In real life, range is dependent on your riding style, your weight and the payload on the bike, and the terrain you're riding on. Naturally, if you're a PAS 3 kind of rider who loads up on groceries on every outing and who happens to live at the top of a steep hill, you're going to drain the battery faster. But generally speaking, Fiido's promise of "charge once, ride all week" holds true.

The C11 PRO is well equipped for city riding, from the loud horn built into the display (you can also opt to use an included bell), to the bright front light and the taillight with brake lights, the rear rack, and a slimline, elegant profile that makes it fit in wherever you might take it.

The only thing missing, which was also missing on the C11, is a down button on the display, allowing you to go up and down PAS modes easier as you ride. Fiido offers an extra setting that overrides this in the app, but for those users who might not like being tied to the app, a physical button would be best.

Conclusion

The previous iteration of this bike, the C11, came very close to being the perfect city bike on account of its low price. For how incredibly affordable it was, it delivered a surprising amount of nice features and solid performance – plus the looks!

The C11 PRO is a perfect city e-bike in itself, without any but or if. It's a comfortable and smooth ride, with instant motor assistance and reliable brakes. It covers all the basics of riding safely in city traffic and handles well in all types of situations.

More to the point, it brings dependability with its solid range and extra comfort thanks to the tweaked design. It's elegant and can haul some gear if you need to (or maybe a child's seat in the rear), and it brings convenience thanks to the removable battery and the ability to use remote unlock to start it, when paired with the Fiido watch.

The C11 PRO is now available for order at a discounted price of €1,099/$1,099, down from €1,799/$1,799.
