Miami, Florida-based Vossen has a vast portfolio of aftermarket wheels, and this time around, one of their American sets was used to make a British SUV look way cooler than in stock form.
It's been a hot minute since we last talked about Land Rover. The British specialist brand owned by Jaguar Land Rover under Tata's tutelage is working hard on the electric version of the mighty Range Rover SUV flagship, and while the changes on the outside are so minimal that prototypes don't even use camouflage, we expect those within to be life-altering. Of course, you could also have a Range Rover that stands out in any crowd without zapping electrons left and right.
For example, this Range Rover seen here courtesy of Vossen's social media exudes practical elegance through every metal pore – it's a Satin Black custom build that almost feels dark blue under certain lighting conditions that looks to have been sat lower on a set of larger aftermarket wheels – Vossen's forged Series 17 (S17-14), which start at $2k apiece and range from 19 to 26 inches in diameter, and from 8.5 to 13 inches in width.
They are also available as monoblock or three-piece units, and there are no less than 48 finishes available – this one, in particular, was dressed in Dark Smoke to compliment the stealthy Land Rover Range Rover appearance. The flagship SUV from the lineup is available in America at an ever-higher starting price of more than $100k - $107,900, to be more precise. However, we have no idea what model is depicted here – Land Rover lets you select the P400 (395 hp) mild hybrid, the P530 mild hybrid V8 with 523 hp, or even the P550e plug-in hybrid with no less than 543 electrified horsepower.
Alas, we do know one thing – if there's no second port for the charging chord, it must be one of the gasoline MHEV options. Anyway, power is less important when a Range Rover looks like this – even the windshield and the lateral plus rear windows are blacked out to complete the stylish and startingly menacing transformation. So, what do you think? Is it cool or not?
By the way, if British luxury SUVs are not your thing but Vossen's aftermarket wheels are, the company has other propositions ripe for making them a poster on the bedroom walls for your automotive enthusiast kids – a Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance dressed in dark gray looking tough on GEN-04 three-piece wheels finished in brushed gloss and polished gloss with an aggressive center plate if you want a luxury sedan or a Satin Black Lamborghini Revuelto on GEN-01 three-piece wheels finished with a satin black center and a gloss clear outer barrel if you would fancy something exotic instead. So, which one is your favorite?
