Her staff even set up a website to promote the giveaway and teach people what they have to do to win the Urus SUV.
The SUV showed up in Shakira’s "Soltera" (Spanish for "Single Woman") video, which was launched a month ago and has already clocked up over 79 million views. This means that over 79 million people saw her driving the Lamborghini Urus and hitting a curb with it.
That was probably just for the video, and the car left the set intact. We do trust Shakira's driving skills. Even if the wheel and sill did get damaged in the video, she surely had the time and the means to fix them by now.
Shakira now confirms the giveaway with an Instagram post and announces that a website for it is online and kicking. But there is something her followers have to do to take the Lamborghini home.
They have to go to the elcarrodeshakira.com website (that is Spanish for "Shakira's car"), fill out the sign-up form, do the "Soltera" dance and record it, then share the videos on Instagram Reels or TikTok using the #ElCarroDeShakira hashtag.
Shakira and her team will pick five finalists. The winner will be selected by public vote and announced on December 6 on the "Despierta America" show. "I'm going to give my car to someone who really wants to have it," she points out.
Only followers above the age of 18 residing in America can join the giveaway competition. The website has already shared videos received for those who want to take the Urus home any time between December 10 and 23, 2024, in Miami. So, it really sounds like a great Christmas present.
The motorized gift is the Urus S version, powered by Lamborghini's 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, which puts 641 horsepower (650 metric horsepower) and 627 pound-feet (850 Newton meters) of torque to the ground. The super SUV flashes from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 3.6 seconds and maxes out at 190 mph (306 kph).
And it is not just performance that this Urus can brag about, but also its show-stopping looks. The car is wrapped in a matte purple film over a white and neon green interior.
Whoever will receive the vehicle is only going to pay for registration, licensing, title fees, delivery, and insurance. The car goes for free.
