There is an ineludible lure to the idea of packing it all up, traveling to a new location at a moment's notice, waking up to a different vista each morning, and living a simpler life of self-reliance and self-discovery. The promise of freedom, adventure, and the ability to do all that is what gave the van life lifestyle such an incredible boost of popularity over the past few years.
Getting to experience van life in a converted camper van that is not only packed with all the modern conveniences you could ask for in a rolling home but also breathtakingly beautiful will certainly make this lifestyle more pleasant and enjoyable. The new Tarida build by Vanpuravida is one such camper van. With a practical layout tailored for four people and a soft, stylish interior design inspired by Mediterranean islands, this van conversion is both innovative and inspiring.

Chelmsford, UK-based Vanpuravida specializes in bespoke van conversions with a focus on high-design details, and each new build coming out of their shed is a stunning rolling home. It is one of the van outfitters that are riding the crest of camper creativity, and it seems that they know all too well that the limited space inside a van requires creative solutions to maximize comfort, functionality, and style.

Their newest conversion, the Tarida, is a beautiful, handcrafted camper based on the spacious Mercedes Sprinter LWB. It boasts a bespoke layout with two extra rear passenger belted seats and an extra bed in the pop-top roof, which makes it perfect for a family of four seeking adventure. It also has a gorgeous L-shaped kitchen, a generous seating area/dinette at the rear that turns into a large bed, and an interior shower room.

However, apart from the clever interior arrangement that enhances livability and gives you the opportunity to bring your friends or family on the road for memorable adventures, what makes this build stand out is the warm and soothing Mediterranean aesthetic that turns it into a peaceful haven on wheels.

Several elements need to remain consistent if you want to incorporate the Mediterranean style into a living space, and these include natural materials, a neutral color scheme inspired by nature, the use of arches, and an effortless, minimalist-chic approach to decor.

The designers have managed to include all these elements in one way or another and create a living space that makes you think of seaside living. For instance, the beautiful vinyl sheets on the floors imitate boho-style tiles, the faux ceiling beams above the seating area look like real wood, and the PVC panels in the shower have a real concrete effect to keep a natural style.

The team also used plenty of curves and arches in the design, adding softness and warmth to the living space. The cream shade on the walls also highlights the welcoming atmosphere, while the mosaic tiles add interest and pattern to the otherwise minimalist styling. The curves and soft edges are used as a way to elevate the design, but also for ease of movement, while the little coves in the walls and furniture add sophistication.

What's more, Tarida is the kind of camper van that allows you to leave home and explore new places without leaving behind the comforts of home. The cozy seating area at the rear, with mirroring benches and an adjustable and removable table, is the perfect spot for dining or hanging out with the family. The bathroom wall and a partition wall on the opposite side create a sense of separation between the kitchen and the rear of the van, creating the feel of a real home with different rooms.

As mentioned, four people can sleep comfortably inside this van. The dinette transforms into a huge double bed (65 by 71 inches), and the pop-top roof fits another mattress for the little ones (47 by 71 inches).

For your cooking needs on the road, Tarida has a stunning kitchen with custom cabinets and modern appliances. A two-hob gas cooktop, a cute bowl sink, and a large Thetford T2090 fridge/freezer will assist you in prepping delicious family dinners. In terms of styling, the kitchen combines natural wood tones with a white solid-surface countertop, while a tiled backsplash and beautiful arched coves further highlight the refined style of this area.

Finally, the shower room is compact but equally elegant with its concrete-like walls and teak shower tray. It also houses a Porta Potti toilet that can slide into a special compartment under the sofa when not in use.

We have no details about the systems running this van and whether it's capable of off-grid adventures, but usually, Vanpuravida equips its conversions with solar panels and all the necessary features for thermal control, including an air diesel heater, AC unit, roof extractor Maxx Air fan, and water heater.

The Tarida camper van is a custom creation, so no pricing details are available, but it should be noted that Vanpuravida camper conversions based on an LWB chassis typically start at £39,990 (which is approx. $50,500) without the cost of the base vehicle.
