Long gone are the days when the Tesla Cybertruck was flipped for double its MRSP. The owner of this 2024 model sold it for cheap just months after having it delivered. With Tesla slashing the prices of the model, owners who are tempted to get rid of their Cybertrucks have no chance to make a profit.
The Tesla Cybertruck had 6,600 miles (10,621 kilometers) on the clock the moment it was sold. So, it was a brand-new EV, sold just months into the ownership by someone who had probably waited years to have it delivered. It only took them a short while before they realized the Cybertruck was not what they thought it would be and decided to get rid of it.

However, unlike others who made a profit out of flipping their brand-new EV, the owner of this vehicle must have lost quite an amount of money. Instead of going up with the first wave of Cybertrucks that showed up on the used car market, the value has started to plunge.

Tesla included a clause in the purchase contract which was supposed to prevent flipping during the first year of ownership. However, those who were in the race to make a profit, totally ignored it.

Back in March, a Porsche dealership acquired a brand-new Cybertruck for $244,000 and immediately listed it for sale for $45,999 more. The vehicle sold for a jaw-dropping $289,999. That remained the most expensive Cybertruck ever sold. The one who paid that much for it must be biting their lips in regret.

Now, the cheapest Cybertrucks on the used car market sell for under $90,000. This Foundation Series version found a new owner for $83,000. The one who placed the highest bid drove home in a dual-motor electric pickup truck with 600 horsepower.

The vehicle rides on 20-inch factory wheels with Goodyear tires and is equipped with the adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steer-by-wire. The panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated seats, an 18.5-inch Infinity touchscreen, and a 9.4-inch display in the rear are on the menu.

All-weather floor mats and two key cards were included in the price. The pickup truck went with a clean, accident-free Carfax report.

You can get a brand-new Tesla Cybertruck for less than that

However, those who are interested in buying a Cybertruck can get a brand-new one for under the price of the one that was auctioned off. The dual-motor version starts at $79,990 and lacks nothing of what this used one has.

Meanwhile, the range-topping tri-motor Cybertruck Cyberbeast with 845 horsepower kicks off at $103,490. For the money, customers get the Premium Interior with suede textile trim, Yacht Floor, and Cyberbeast Cabin Graphic.

The Laser-Etched Cerberus badge, Rear Torque Vectoring, and Performance Launch Mode are also available with the Cyberbeast, which can rocket from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in just. 2.6 seconds.

Furthermore, those who place an order today have a very high chance of getting the vehicle in their driveway before Christmas. It only takes about three to four weeks to get your hands on one.

With the brand-new electric pickup truck sold for such prices, the Cybertruck used car market is in a free fall. Those who were planning to flip the model for profit but missed the momentum have two options now: they can either accept that they are stuck with the EV or that they can get rid of it and lose money.
