The Ram 1500 TRX may be dead and buried, yet one tuner decided to celebrate it by releasing an insane upgrade wrapped in a rather simple package. Meet the Mammoth 1000 Last Stand from Hennessey, which builds on the Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition.
While the standard super truck came out with the standard Hellcat motor, producing 702 horsepower (712 ps/524 kW) and 650 pound-feet (881 Nm) of torque, the Mammoth 1000 Last Stand brings the output and thrust to new levels.
The tuned workhorse benefits from multiple upgraded oily bits, including the high-flow supercharger system, front and rear drive pulleys, crank damper pin, thermostat, supercharger belt, spark plugs, crankcase ventilation system, etc. Hennessey tests all its cars on the road for up to 500 miles (805 km) after tuning them and on the dyno, and the Mammoth 1000 is no exception.
As for the output and torque, these are rated at 1,012 horsepower (1,026 ps/755 kW) and 969 pound-foot (1,314 Nm). Naught to sixty mph (97 kph) takes a neck-snapping 3.2 seconds, which is highly impressive for a pickup truck, and this tuned copy is actually faster than most previous-gen supercars in a straight line. Compared to the stock variant, which tops out at 118 mph (190 kph) and can deal with the 1/4-mile in less than 13 seconds, Hennessey's is 1.3 seconds faster to sixty.
Setting this modified Ram 1500 TRX Final Edition apart from its standard counterparts are the new front and rear bumper, extra LED lights at the front, and 20-inch wheels that can be shod in 35- or 37-inch off-road tires. Hennessey has also given it electronic fold-out steps for improved ingress and egress, fresh exterior badges, front and rear leveling kit, a serial number plaque in the engine bay, Hennessey-embroidered headrests, and a few other bits and bobs.
The tuner based in the Lone Star State took care of the installation. Since warranty is obviously a big deal, especially on a pickup truck that is punchier than a Bugatti Veyron and faster than a Ferrari Enzo, the Mammoth 1000 Last Stand comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile (57,937 km) limited warranty.
Hennessey's modified Ram 1500 TRX is still an off-roading beast and a very fast one, for that matter. To celebrate this fabulous ride and attract more attention to it, the tuner recently released a short video that shows this build in action. The footage shared below puts the spotlight on the Mammoth 1000 Last Stand while it drives like crazy both on- and off-road and also reveals a few static shots of it. Thus, if you want to see it in action and hear that magnificent engine whine under right pedal abuse, you know what to do next, right?
